Nature Preschool is..
a never ending adventure full of life, love, learning and connection.

In order for a Nature school to be considered such it must meet, at minimum, these three requirements.

1. "Nature is the central organizing concept of the program. Nature is the integrating thread that intentionally ties together the preschool's philosophy, methodologies, class-room design, outdoor spaces and public identity."

2. "A nature preschools program is based on high-quality practices in both early childhood education (developmentally appropriate practices) and environmental education."

3. "A nature preschool program uses the natural world to support dual goals that address both child development of the world of the child and the development of an ecological identity or environmental ethic.

Our 2022-2023 Nature Preschool Program is set to start in August of 2022 & is the start to something amazing we will be bringing to this community as well as the state of Pennsylvania and beyond.

The school will utilize this first year to make strong community connections and build relationships throughout the neighboring areas to help bring nature education to as many people as possible.

One major goal for HMS is to be able to open the full program in 2022-2023 to a larger subset of the community and to do so HMS is working alongside many other talented individuals to get nature preschools' licensed, in the state of Pennsylvania, in order to provide the opportunity to a far greater number of children that are otherwise unable to experience nature enrichment and learning side by side.

Little Sprouts
Preschool Playtime
is designed to introduce your little one to a school-like environment while giving them the freedom of child-led learning environment that is designed specifically for play-based learning.

Nature's Wee Wanderers Summer Camp
Designed for ages 3-6 this nature-based summer camp will help your child not only connect deeper to themselves, the nature surrounding them as well as others they will gain a deeper understanding of this connection as well.

There will be themed activities daily that reflect the theme of the month and week as well as have access to the outdoor and indoor classrooms.
